CONGRATULATIONS CLASS 6!
Our sixth class completed training on October 8th and were sworn in on October 22nd.

As prescribed by the National CASA Association, CASA of New Jersey, and CASA of Burlington County, volunteers are required to receive 30 hours of training before they can be sworn-in by the Court and be assigned to a foster child or a sibling group of foster children.  This training is mandatory for anyone who wishes to be a CASA volunteer.  CASA of Burlington County understands that this is a significant investment of your time.  However, we think that you will enjoy the training, which covers topics such as domestic violence, substance abuse, child development, report writing for the Court, cultural competency, sexual abuse, neglect, educational advocacy, the child welfare system, and much, much more.  The training is multimedia, features experts from the child welfare field, and seeks to appeal to all adult learning styles.  Volunteers are also provided with an excellent resource manual which is helpful when advocating for your CASA child.

If you are interested in becoming a CASA volunteer, please fill out the Volunteer Application and send it to us.
There is a link to our Volunteer Application to the left.

Of course, if you have any questions about volunteering, please do not hesitate to call or email us.
