Some facts about Burlington County:
  • Burlington County is the largest county by area in New Jersey.  It consists of 827 square miles, and stretches from the Delaware River on the west to Great Bay on the Atlantic Ocean to the east.  It produces the largest blueberries in the world and is the second largest county producer of cranberries in the United States.
  • Burlington County has 40 separate municipalities
  • Burlington County's population is approximately 450, 627
  • 24.1%, or 108,161 residents of Burlington County are under the age of 18
  • 77.6% of the population is Caucasian
  • 16.6% of the population is African-American
  • 5.0% of the population is Latino or Hispanic
  • Of the children in Burlington County living in out-of-home placement, mainly foster care and group homes:
    • 8% are less than 1 year old
    • 16% are 1-2 years old
